let's do that hockey!

March Media Round-Up

Here's some cool media I discovered this past month! This is my first Media Round-Up, so I've just decided to talk about a couple things I'm still reading/watching, just to get something out there :)

The Academy's Undercover Professor

Manhwa - 51 chapters - Ongoing

This one was a pleasant surprise for me! I love undercover teacher/student stories, and this one definitely has a lot of charm. The protagonist of this story finds himself in hot water after he realizes that the teacher he's impersonating wasn't exactly an upstanding citizen. Thankfully, he's a pretty capable actor, and an accomplished crook himself!

You can definitely see that the author of this story took a lot of inspiration from Harry Potter, but I feel like that just adds to the fun factor of the whole thing. Like yeah, I see what you're doing there, buddy!

I'm just excited to see where this story goes. It's got a fun world and concept, and it's definitely reveling in it. Here's to hoping it keeps up the fun!

A Bona Fide Killer

Manhwa - 66 chapters - Ongoing

If my first recommendation was a fun undercover story, this one is definitely a much darker one. Yu Bona is a perfect housewife and mother, but she's also got a secret - she's a professional assassin known as Kingfisher! I don't want to spoil much about this story, since it's clearly building itself up slowly, but I'm also excited to see where this one goes. This manhwa likes to balance its dark subject matter with almost goofy scenarios, but it's not afraid to remind you that many of its characters are cold-blooded killers.

The recent stuff with Sergei definitely has my at the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the next update!

The Haunting of Hill House

TV - 10 episodes - Completed

Susi Watched: Through episode 3

Okay, I haven't finished this show yet, but I'm liking what I've seen so far! I'm late to the party, I know, but I'm really interested in the Crain family, and what exactly is up with their freaky old house.

The scares in this one have been pretty alright, and I'm unfortunately afraid to admit that some of them got actual little gasps out of me :') Hopefully the rest of the show lives up to the mystique it's building!
